HARD-DRIVE HAVOC?

What have I been up to for the past fortnight? Welp, week one was mostly filled with swimming in Joyce's pool because we've had a pretty bad heat wave hitting us lately. I really hate swimming with my biological family, though. They're constantly yelling at me because I can't swim, which, I mean, a lot of people can't swim. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Plus they keep splashing water in my eyes, forcing me to have to blindly feel my way over to the ladder to climb up and get my towel. But luckily nobody dunked me underwater and filled my lungs with water like last year. I'm still keeping my guard up, though.

Another thing that bugs me aboot my family (and this isn't limited to just the pool) is their racism. One of AO's inflatable pool toys had a hole in it, and Mom scoffed and commented that it's "Made-in-China crap". Seriously, my family does this all the time. Whenever we go shopping, they look where products are made and then make stupid racist comments about China or Taiwan or whatever. Even the time Joyce took me laptop shopping, she looked at a Toshiba laptop and embarrassed the crap out of me by asking the floorwalker to show us American-made laptops. I want to slug everyone in my family so bad.

Joyce, Wendy and AO went on vacation to Wildwood, New Jersey for most of the second week, so me, Mom and Steve had to take care of her dog and the stray cats she feeds. I didn't really mind this. Gave me something to do other than play Digimon World 2 and watch Futurama (incidentally, the new season is great so far). Mom was also given a wild rabbit by one of our distant relatives, so I guess now we have a rabbit.

Also of interest is that my birthday is approaching. September first. Yup. I'm hoping for new CDs, but it'd be great if instead, everyone would chip in a little money to get me a laptop, because I gave up on buying one myself. There's no way I'll ever be able to afford one ever. Unfortunately nobody was too keen on this idea for some reason.

But yeah. I took my laptop savings and bought an external hard drive, which I still would've needed anyway. I'm actually in the process of setting it up as I'm typing this. I managed to transfer all my files from my flash drives to it, but now I have to rip over 60 CDs and stick them on there. Oh, joy. Ah well. Had to be done sometime.

In other news, I'm still psyched for multiple things. TMBG's new album, more new episodes of Futurama, Pokémon Black & White Versions, hopefully a new season of The Office at some point (next year, maybe?), and of course my afforementioned birthday.
